Kameleon Light

Kameleon Light is an universal device, which can attend 15+1 home automatization function. It is available in EMR version with electro mechanic relays, which have higher loadability (12A) and in the silent working version with solid state relays (SSR). The hardware includes all of the control software so the user have to select only the right working mode after the installation of the module. A Kameleon Light module can work self-standing or in a system, if more devices are connected with a system bus cable. The installation can be solved with basic electrician knowledge and user doesn’t need a programmer, when the modules are put in operation, because the system is self-recognition. The system can be completed with a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi module and then it will turn into remote controllable from the Kameleon System application and the user can reach the comfort functions on his/her smartphone. This comfort functions are the group controls, like the group turn on/off. This means that user can turn on/off all of the element of the given function with one button and this commands will be enforced in the whole system.

The firmware of the Kameleon module can be updated in Bootloader mode. The newest firmware version and the PC bootloader software is available on our webpage. The firmware can be updated unique on one module or it is possible to make a group updating when all module, which connect on the system bus, will be updated through USB.

One Kameleon module can control 8 light ways (? világítási kör angolul) like an impulse relay(?). The system separate 3 different type of button pushing: short, long and extra-long time pushing. The given output can be switched with the given input in case of short button pushing (for example the first input controls the first output). The long button pushing makes a group turn off command, the extra-long button pushing makes a group turn on command. All light function’s outputs will be turned on or off the action of the group control command on the module, in addition command will be enforced on all other modules which are connected each other with the system bus. This commands reaches all modules, which are in sort of light function (light control, RGB dimmer, simple dimmer) through the extended group control. Separated control levels are adjustable, if user want to separate the light ways (for example separated floors). The light ways can be controlled from the smartphone application (IOS, Android), too. A delayed turn-off can be set with the time select rotary switch. If user set this higher like 0, than light will be turns of in the set hours.

The Kameleon Light module can drive 2 external DMX-controlled RGB dimmer. In this function 4 inputs belong to an RGB dimmer. One input turn on/off the dimmer for the RGB levels, which were set previously by the user. The other 3 inputs control separately the R,G and B levels (among 10-100%). If the button of the color is pushed continuously, this color will be stronger or weaker (színre hogy mondják, hogy erősebb v gyengébb). The direction of the changing is always reverse than the previous. The system separate 3 different type of button pushing: short, long and extra-long time pushing. The given RGB dimmer can be switched with the given input in case of short button pushing (for example the first input controls the first RGB dimmer). The long button pushing makes a group turn off command (0%), the extra-long button pushing makes a group turn on (100%) command. All light function’s outputs will be turned on or off the action of the group control command on the module, in addition command will be enforced on all other modules which are connected each other with the system bus. This commands reaches all modules, which are in sort of light function (light control, RGB dimmer, simple dimmer) through the extended group control. One input turn on/off the dimmer for the brightness, which were set previously by the user. The secound input control brightness level (among 10-100%). If the button of the brightness is pushed continuously, this color will be stronger or weaker (színre hogy mondják, hogy erősebb v gyengébb). The wardrobe light is used by the wardrobes. The inputs are inverted by this function, therefore they are had to control with closed contacts. The door opening worth detecting with reed relay sensors for the silent working and for the easier built-in(? beépíthetőség). It is recommended to use the silent working Kameleon Light SSR (solid state relay) version.

The Kameleon Light module can drive 4 electric shutter. In this function 2 inputs and 2 relay belong to a shutter. The two relay switch the up and down direction of the shutter’s motor. The system separate 2 different type of button pushing by shutter controlling: short and long pushing. Two inputs belongs to the defined up and down direction of the shutter and the short button pushing controls the given shutter, which belongs to this input. If the shutter is moving, than any short button pushing stops it. The long button pushing makes a group control command, which can be a stop, a move up or a move down all shutters command. The system takes account of the driving status of the shutters, therefore any shutter is moving, than the long button push will be a group stop command and all of them stop moving. If all shutter doesn’t move, long button push will be a group move up or down command and it will be valid to the all shutter in the module. One leaf gate control function can drive a simple gate with one leaf. One input controls the moving direction of the gate, which works in a defined sequence (stepping control): open – stop – close – stop. The motor of the gate is driven by 4 outputs, which are in an H-bridge, so 2-2 relay are active at the same time, if gate moves in one direction. The software protects the reserve switching, so for example the relay of the open direction can be active only then, if the relays of the close direction are passive and conversely. 2 inputs belong to two limit switches, which can stop the gate in the end positions. An infra sensor can be installed, too, to protect the humans and vehicles, if the gate would start to close. The gate control function can be controlled from the smartphone application (IOS, Android), too. A remote controller can connect to the control input of the gate. Two leaf gate control function can drive a gate with dual leafs. One input controls the moving direction of the gate, which works in a defined sequence (stepping control): open – stop – close – stop. The outdoor road heating control function drives some heating cable, which are built in the road or sidewalk, so wet can’t freeze on them. A wet sensor and an external thermostat is needed to the system to detection. The heating valve control can drive electric valves, which are installed on manifold (osztógyűjtő fűtsében angolul???). 7 normal thermostats can connect to 7 inputs, which switch the the 7 different heating way through the relays. The last (8.) output is a bypass way, which’s aim to protect the boiler. So if all heating ways closed, than this 8. was opens, that’s why the boiler can’t run to a heat failure.

Other external devices can be controlled by IO mode or they can control direct the Kameleon Light module. Kameleon behaves in this case as a slave device and other master devices can send it commands. The inputs and outputs are readable and the output relays are controllable with commands of CAN or MODBUS. The IO function can be controlled from the smartphone application (IOS, Android), too. It is usable to control for example Jacuzzis or saunas.

Advertisement/fountain control:

The module contain some effects, which are determined the binary status of the input. The effects control the output relays in different mode. The SSR type module is recommended for the advertisement control function, because of the frequent switching. 8 module can work together in this mode, which can escalate the effect. A master module has to be set with the help of the DIP switch and 1-7 slave are settable, which execute the commands of the master. The speed of effect can be set with the time select rotary switch.

Thie mode contains the unique software of the user, which are made specially to a user.



Application

The automatization system of the building can be controlled and overseen by the free Kameleon application. User can switch separately the outputs, which give feedback their status, as well as it is possible to configure level separated group controls, too. Kameleon module needs a Bluetooth or a Wi-Fi module for the communication with the application (if the system includes more Kameleon module than it needs only one communication module). A PIN code is adjustable for the safety working and to protect system against the unauthorized persons. All outputs are unique nameable for the transparent using. If the application communicates with the module through Bluetooth, 3 user can connect to the system in the same time. The Wi-Fi module can communicate more than 10 smartphone. The Wi-Fi module use the LAN, if user has a router or it can be an access point (without router), when the smartphones direct connect to the module.
